Race for a Cause

This week the Kindness Confetti Crew held a one-mile race to raise donations for a cause of their choice. The children voted to purchase new books featuring diverse authors for a local elementary school. Instead of collecting money, we asked that each participant to purchase a new elementary school book and to ask their supporters to do the same. We held the races at two different times to meet as many schedules as possible. One group met at 9am and another at 6pm. KCC members walked, rode bikes, and scooters, and ran. 100 books were collected for Van Wyck Elementary school!
