We Love Our Community Helpers!
The Kindness Confetti Crew is so grateful for all of the members of our community who serve us each and every day - firefighters, law enforcement officers, lifeguards, and staff members at our local library, hospitals, and United Way… just to name a few! To express our appreciation for the many ways these heroes serve all of us, the Kindness Confetti Crew loves to recognize and thank these Community Helpers at the beginning of each summer.
When KCC started in 2017, we made “Kindness Confetti Snack Mix” for our Community Helpers. Each family would bring something to add to a HUGE bowl, all take turns mixing it up (after lots of hand washing of course!), and then divide it into HUGE containers to share with our heroes!
After COVID hit in 2020, we changed things up a bit to be sure we didn’t share any germs as we shared our gratitude! Each year, we gather LOTS of goodies including crackers, granola bars, cookies, candy bars, drinks, and so much more!
And, of course, no basket full of goodies is complete without a THANK YOU poster!
We love putting all of these baskets together for our community helpers, But the REALLY fun part is DELIVERING these treats to our local heroes!
